We just went with our 4 year old and almost 2 year old at the end of May this year. It was pleasant in the morning. Temps got hot in the afternoon but not terrible. We had a blast.

Splurged and stayed at Deluxe resorts to be able to walk to the parks. I’d recommend staying at Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach Resort or potentially off property.

There is quite a big difference in price depending on where you stay. The on site resorts are extremely expensive. Look for Disney affiliated hotels that give you the perks of getting in the parks early but can save you a ton on money. We just booked a trip and staying at Double Tree Suites at Disney springs for our 6 night trip saved easily $1000 versus a disney resort.

We stayed in the family suite at art of animation and we drove, 3 night stay and 3 days worth of park tickets Total costs for room and tickets was $3,900. Spent another $700 at the parks between dining and shite Taking the same family to France. We leave today. Just plane tickets were $6,100 for economy So tell people who say “you can go to Europe for the same price” they are full of fricking shite. Plane tickets plus accommodations were $10,500. So triple the cost of Disney, for the pre paid expenses
I know Europe is more expensive (because of the airfare) but you are comparing apples to oranges here. First you didn’t fly and you only spent 3 days there (I assume you are spending at least a week in Europe).
If you flew to Disney and spent the same amount of time there as you did in Europe then I bet those total prices would be much closer.
