I pull a 19ft bay boat with 4Runner which should have same towing ability as the Tacoma. No brakes on the trailer. Its ok to tow and don’t feel unsafe or anything...

New boat or old boat? Yearly maintenance on a new boat/motor isn’t bad. “Maintenance” on a used boat where you have to start replacing items (wiring, batteries, trailer parts, etc…) can get expensive.
If it’s a small boat why not store at the house?

This wouldn’t be a barrier to booking the charter and people will absolutely break gear doing dumb stuff so it would make sense to set this money aside for replacement rod, reel, line, etc….
