re: Heather Dinich

You are going to have some serious regional bias in the voting. Every voter west of Dallas will probably not put Daniel’s in his/her top 10 just to try to prevent him from winning. ...
re: Jamar Cain was our only elite defensive recruiter
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/27/23 at 7:41 am
If and when we fire the entirety of the incompetent defensive staff, we don’t risk losing any defensive commitments. They were all recruited by offensive coaches, Frank and Sloan. The level of incompetence of the defensive staff as coaches and recruiters, is incredible....
re: Rumors of Elijah Robinson not returning to Texas A&M
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/26/23 at 9:29 am
I don’t know the timeline but that sounds right. Kelly has a long time relationship with Cooks, he demoted him from coaching to an admin job at ND. And I think he knew Steeples from camps and the recruiting trail? Those from all appearances were 100% Kelly hires....
re: Nix observations

We know what Nix would be in the SEC. He would be Jaxon Dart. Same player....
re: How would you grade Brian Kelly’s tenure so far?
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/26/23 at 9:15 am
C
The defensive staff hirings were really really bad and for $10m per and for a “serious” and veteran coach should’ve been clearly a mistake from the start. I’d like him to explain what he thought the plan was at DB with Steeples and Cooks. Inexplicable....
re: Looking at 2023-2024 season projection
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/26/23 at 12:04 am
I’d take Fifita and McMillain from ASU and see how things fall out. If we don’t, I bet FSU or Miami or a few others would....

As great as Daniels and the WRs were, we need to replace Daniels 1000+ rushing yards. Nuss could be great, but he’s not going to do that.
Jackson is a key guy for the offense next year. Holly could be important....

Will it be Ferentz, Jr’s offense vs Matt House defense? Ferentz, Jr has been told he won’t return next year. If House is still around at LSU, Iowa should give him a chance to score 40 before he exits?...
re: Rate these DC disasters

The only benefit of the doubt I give Pelini 2 was the entire 2020 season with the Covid Hoax was a joke. Pelini certainly made it worse, but the whole season was like a spring football season that counted. ...
re: Is there any chance we can afford to get Jacoby Matthews out of A&M?
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/24/23 at 12:09 pm
My conservative estimate is women’s basketball will lose $5m per in 2022-23 and 2023-24. It’s called Title 9 preventive defense investment....
re: Is there any chance we can afford to get Jacoby Matthews out of A&M?
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/24/23 at 10:24 am
It would be nice to know what public institutions like A&M are paying kids so one could know exactly what the contract terms are you are bidding against. That info would be something pay sites could provide at least instead of nonsense about what a “great job” a staff is doing. ...
re: Will Rogers to the Portal
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/24/23 at 10:22 am
The implosion of the Pac 12 hurts transfer portal QBs like Rogers. Otherwise he could go from being a middling SEC QB to playing some 7 v 7 ball against skeleton defenses and become a Heisman candidate. see Bo Nix....
Rate these DC disasters
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/23/23 at 7:59 pm
Tepper, Mallveto, Pelini 2, House?
1 being worst.
I’d go:
1. House
2. Tepper
3. Pelini 2
4. Mallveto...
re: Damone Clark
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/23/23 at 7:20 pm
Damone should hire his former high school teammate and former 5* LB POS Christopher Allen to carry his bags, Allen isn’t doing anything these days....
re: LB and Edge
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/21/23 at 10:11 am
In the LB defense, they have been very poorly coached for the past 2 years. Imperative to get a solid LB coach in the fold to rejuvenate Perkins, salvage Penn, and work with Braithwaite and the incoming freshmen. ...
re: Patrick surtain sr. For DB coach

Isn’t he at Miami?...
re: Give me your ideal Defensive Coordinator candidate
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/19/23 at 6:30 pm
Poor Pruitt, multiple year show-cause for spending less in a recruiting cycle pre-NIL ($60k) than Jimbo spent in a weekend getting guys with otherwise no interest in College Station, TX.
Pruitt is now an assistant high school coach and walked away with $0 while Jimbo walks away with $76 million.

re: Would you be upset if we reached out to Muschamp?
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/19/23 at 6:26 pm
I guess it’s his younger son who is a QB commitment at Vandy?
I think Muschamp would fit well as our DC but just don’t see it happening. ...

I think Aranda, if he’s fired, joins Lincoln at USC. ...
re: Unfortunate consequence of changing DC is having to learn a different scheme
Posted by Rdanielson38 on 11/19/23 at 6:21 pm
I think the players would quickly forget House’s “scheme” and welcome the opportunity to actually play in a real scheme....
