re: Portland, Oregon Suburbs

I would say if you have to be decently close to Portland I would say Lake Oswego. ...
Portland isn’t hard, despite the negativity above. Way better than BR for example.
Oregon is such a conflicting area to me. I visited Oregon back in 2015 and went to Portland, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Seaside, Cannon Beach and Tillamook. We stayed 3 nights in Portland (last night just...
re: Panic in New Orleans: How Carjacking and Crime Upended the Next Season of ‘Queer Eye’
It's a shame too, NOLA used to be a cool town, at least to visit. Now it's not even a cool town to visit. It's Jackson MS with jazz
Yeah the only way NOLA gets cleaned up is if tourism dries up. It happened after Katrina as NOLA had to portray that it was safe after what people saw...
re: Frustrated with lack of long weekend trip ideas for family.

It’s actually one of the big reasons I left NOLA. Sure NOLA is great but there’s genuinely nothing around it. Nothing else in Louisiana or the lower 2/3 of Alabama and Mississippi. Nothing in Arkansas except for the Ozarks in NW Arkansas. Dallas and Houston aren’t really tourist cities and while the...
re: Walk On's headquarters is for sale.
The walk-ons here in Tampa has really gone downhill over the last year or so- subpar food (imported shrimp, crawfish, etc), limited menu, and less than great service. Wonder if that’s a trend across the board and maybe they’re adjusting to reduced demand?
Sad to hear but not surpri...
re: Blue bloods and their last title
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/8/24 at 8:35 pm
You do realize Nebraska won in 1997 right? And most consider that 1997 Nebraska team to be better than the 1997 Michigan team they shared the title with. ...
re: Holy shite can they possibly get in more commercials
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/8/24 at 7:51 pm
Now we know why they started the National Title game earlier this year. More commercial time to sell. This is easily going to be a 4 hour game.
If they still started it at 8:30 like they used to the game wouldn’t be over until 1 a.m. ...
re: Penix is shrinking

Penix is the second best QB in this game. ...
re: So maybe Daniels IS better than Penix.
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/8/24 at 7:47 pm
And Daniels will be far better in the pros as well. Penix will be a bust. ...
re: When do the BLM riots get cranked up?
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/8/24 at 12:19 am
Something is definitely going to happen before the election this year. The heated rhetoric saying Trump is a threat to Democracy, the kangaroo court trials, Trump being removed from the ballot in some state and that's just domestically.
The Ukraine and Israel wars that we are essentially fighting...
This is a huge, huge, huge part of it that older generations don't understand because it isn't something they dealt with when they were navigating the dating world.
Absolutely. I know a previous poster mentioned the DUI factor as a downfall to the club/bar scene but that's not real...
re: Saints 2024 Schedule
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/7/24 at 8:37 pm
Usually that will mean one home game will be overseas. Or 1 home preseason game in the new 3 pre season game format. This year we had 2 out of 3 home preseason games.
I say this because season tickets are typically based on 10 home games.
Yes and I'm guessing we'll know for su...

Yeah if I was judging it I would pick 29. 18 would be second. Not even sure what 34 or 27 are thinking being there....
re: Trade the following
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/7/24 at 7:21 pm
Not gonna get much for Kamara or Lattimore.
This will be the last "effective" season for Kamara, he's about to fall off a cliff.
Lattimore is an injury waiting to happen. And even when he's on the field, he's good but nowhere elite.
You'll get maybe a 4th round pick for either if ...

Saints 2024 Schedule

They’re back? I like it.
I'll never call them anything else besides the Redskins. Just on principle I will never call them that other name. Honestly even Washington Football Team was starting to grow on me but I'll never call them by th...
That schedule is brutal. At least it means 2024 should be Allen’s last season in New Orleans.
I'd love to know what you're smoking.
We miss the following teams in 2024:
Ravens
Bills
Dolphins
Lions
49ers
Seahawks
Bengals (strength depending on what happens with B...

I hate to do it but yes I agree with getting what we can for Kamara. ...
re: Today is my last day as a Season Ticket Holder (2006 - 2023). Thanks Mickey & DA.
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/7/24 at 6:52 pm
Honestly with the way sports are nowadays season tickets are kind of obsolete. For most home games you can get tickets for cheaper than what you pay per game for season tickets. Plus then you aren't locked in to having to attend each game or sell tickets for games you aren't going to use. And the va...
Saints 2024 Schedule
Posted by TheMT83 on 1/7/24 at 6:44 pm
Since the season is officially over.
Many will say we won't get an easier schedule than this year, which is true, but the schedule most likely won't be significantly more difficult.
We substitute the NFC Central for the NFC East next year which I don't think is a big change. Yes the Cowboys an...
