Posted by 1MileTiger on 5/22/24 at 8:42 am
Nobody should have an issue with wind and solar as supplementary options, but the goal to get to 100% solar/wind as a power source that relies on the availability of wind and sun shine is a big nope for me.
Of course, ignoring the fact that retired windmills are going to start stacking up....

re: UBS: Do NOT learn to code
Posted by 1MileTiger on 2/5/24 at 9:37 am
Coders are a dime a dozen. Good coders with the ability to critically think and problem solve will be just fine. Problem is, too many baristas that had no business learning code signed up for bootcamps and are now useless....
re: Best King Cake for delivery?
Posted by 1MileTiger on 1/31/24 at 9:45 am
Tagging on, because I'd like to order a king cake for my company. I grew up on Meche's king cakes out of Lafayette. The ones that are deep fried and soaked in glaze. Do any of these king cakes compare to that, or are all of these baked/dry? Shipping it to Colorado, so any bread products become extra...

Sleep Token - The Summoning
Posted by 1MileTiger on 12/13/23 at 1:26 pm
Searched and didn't see any discussion of Sleep Token. I just scored some tickets to their show at Red Rocks. The Summoning has been a lot of people's gateway into their music. It's in a weird genre between metal and TOOL. The 5:00 mark is one of the greatest moments in music I've experienced.

Republican party is stuck in the 1900s. Abortion is the hottest button by miles, and Republicans are failing miserably at it.
Apparently COVID didn't do a good enough job at clearing out the old geriatric politicians and voters keeping the GOP stuck in the dark ages....
