I last lived in Raleigh 5 years ago. I heard way more Yankee/Northern accents than Southern accents at work....

I lived there for 3 years and loved it. I would still live there if I hadn't gotten addicted to skiing and/or there was decent skiing nearby....

My strategy to pay my mortgage early would be to not pay any extra towards the mortgage. Instead, invest any extra payments into an index fund. Once you have enough in the index fund to lump sum the rest of the mortgage, you'd pay off the rest of the mortgage at that time....

No, and don't know. Perhaps, I have lived in a bubble, but the majority of responses surprised me given that most here grew up in the Bible Belt. As for me, I've been happily married for 7 years....
