Oh look at Billy badass here. If LA and Miami are legitimately interested I’d bet my house and every savings account I have that his agent will make it ABUNDANTLY clear those are his destinations that he will re-sign with and they will be encouraged to make the highest offers. We will be told thanks but no thanks unless we were to foolishly beat their offer for a one year rental.

The thing is, Lillard already tried that and was denied. Now word is he's going to try again, this year, but MIA doesn't have a great offer and they can only take one of these guys.

You missed the context where I clearly stated "any team" that trades for him in the post above that? Of course you did.

Yeah but Lillard had a boatload of years on his contract left. Cleveland will be risking losing Mitchell for nothing in his prime. I feel Miami would be more willing to shake up their roster to obtain him than some of the low ball crap they were touting for Dame.

I think MIA only has "low ball" in their war chest still.

Although, Herro has improved his value tremendously in a year. He was not seen favorably last year.

If it came down to it I wouldn’t mind jumping in and helping facilitate a Mitchell trade to Miami.

Out: Ingram, Dyson, Nance, #21 and 2025 1st

In: Herro, Allen, Jovic

Cleveland gets Ingram, Nance, Dyson, Jamie and Caleb Martin with our picks and Miami picks

Herro can handle the ball some when needed, as witnessed by his 14 assists against Boston

I don't know if I love what we're getting back, but you could sell me on Herro and Jovic. That is a trade that kind of sets us up to be pretty mid in terms of Western playoffs, so Herro/Jovic/Zion need to all take steps if we want to make noise...however, it would leave us with a bigger war chest for a godfather scenario in a year or 2.

How is Jovic's defense?

Also, I don't know if we'd need to put Daniels in that deal unless the salary was needed.

Herro sucks. Ya'll think CJ is bad on D? Now you're replacing him with a younger, but lesser shooter, with just as bad d, plus he;s a fricking moron.

I’m not sure if you understand how this will work, but if Pels truly want to sell on BI, he’ll have leverage on his destination. He’s on his last year of his contract and will inform the Pels where he wants to go signaling where he would sign an extension, otherwise it be a 1 year rental and Pels will receive pennies on the dollar.

Daniels salary wouldn’t be needed, but I don’t think we could get Jovic unless we sent him out.

If we could keep DD and still get Jovic then even better

Ingram will sign wherever he gets the most money, and that would be with whatever team trades for him.

We could trade Ingram to Detroit and he would happily resign there if they would give him a full max

Believe that if you like, he’ll have multiple teams that will pay and his agent will provide a list to Pels of teams he’d sign with. Pels wanting to maximize return will work with those teams. Just how it works, case in point Siakam to Pacers this year.

But it was reported that he signed off on the Milwaukee deal.

No star, not Mitchell pursuant to this discussion, would sign off on going to New Orleans.

Herro sucks.
He's basically a worse version of CJ, worse than CJ across the board at basically every skill set on offense and defense.

BI can provide whatever lists he wants.
If the other team isn't interested, then his lists doesn't mean shite.

Other teams will have extension talks with BI. If they go well, those teams will make offers to us. We'll take the best offer. It's as simple as that.

There will be multiple teams likely interested in offering him the max extension, and i'd bet money BI could give two shits who it is as long as they give him that max money.
