Da Nang, i prefer the laid back city with beach over bustling HCMC. Although, HCMC food options are much more diverse. I’m having issues finding some items here. How long are you in HCMC and which district? ...

Bo Ne(dodging beef) for breakfast this morning. Named because the food comes sizzling at the table that you have to dodge the grease. Essentially, it’s Vietnam version of steak and egg. I’m going to count this as banh mi # 9.
Who had Islam out striking Dustin tonight ?
I did. Just like he did vs Olivera and Volk. Before both of these fights people kept saying “Islam better not stand and strike”. They going to say it’s because of this takedown but it’s MMA. That and people holding on to that one time...
What did champ looklike. Swollen cut. Don’t be that guy.
Any ufc fighter who gets battered and wins a fight gets labeled as a “warrior”. But when it’s Islam, we get the “he looks like shite”, never mind that he finished Dustin in the 5th and could’ve lay and pray to a victory. ...

After getting bummed out about the breakfast situation, we decided to walk around around to find dinner. This guy in a vehicle that looks like a golf cart with 3 rows offered to drive us around.

I’ve been living on the streets so much that I decided yesterday to book a fancy stay at the Voco Ma Belle hotel to refine my taste. One reason I decided this was the impressive complementary breakfast. But bad news. Upon arrival and checking in, I was told that it was not complementary and it co...

Yesterday I was chilling in the front of my stay when this woman vendor on her bicycle was passing by. Often you will see mobile vendors passing by on motorbikes, bicycles, push cart selling goodies. It’s like the ice cream man passing through the American neighborhood(or used to be)
She woman...

Got some chicken congee/porridge for breakfast. What would make this better would eating it outside in mid 50s weather. Eating it during the summer makes you feel like you just got out of a sauna when finished. But it’s so good that you can’t stop eating.

Was craving some sweets last night. Stopped by this place for Malaysian coconut ice cream. This is what I like about Vietnam. It’s the randomness you can run across. By day this corner sidewalk would be vacant with no activity. But by night it’s an outdoor ice cream shop.
