re: Thoughts on The Fall Guy

Watched it last night. It was a fun movie that slightly missed the mark on some of the humor but a good time overall. ...
The issue isn’t the creation of new laws they can use to go after somebody. The issue is there are so many laws that can be interpreted loosely by biased AGs that they can prosecute anyone that they want to based on some violation if they dig deep enough. That’s the beauty of their system and how th...
Getting in shape is fun. Did you keep a pair of old size 36" pants around?
I’ve been wearing 38” pants as long as I can remember but saved a bunch of 36” shorts because I was optimistic. I’ve been sporting them around this morning and they fit comfortably. Probably because I’m deh...
These guys are a different breed. Mostly wealthy and very technically smart. They’re always buying weird shite like old jeeps and corvettes to fix up. Working on planes and bullshitting with each other. There was a retired MIT govt scientist that helped them install a VASI (?) system and electronics ...
What are the logistics of this? Do they need to check in with ATC?
Not if they’re not in controlled space or flying IFR. Most fields across the country don’t have towers. ...
My FIL was a developer and a pilot so he built something similar 20 years ago but smaller. About 50 house sites, hangars and a 3000 ft paved runway that everyone could access. Pilots from all over the country retired there. ...

re: Trump Jr on with Tucker
Tucker says it's an overt declaration to have Trump killed and also gave an analogy that when you get kidnapped and the kidnapper pulls the mask off, you know he now has to kill you - the Trump verdict was the Democrats taking the mask off and people must now assume there is no limit to what ...
And let’s remember that Dershowitz is a traditional liberal…but also a true advocate for the law. It’s amazing to watch people like him come to Trumps defense. Almost as amazing as the Bill Kristal crowd showing their true colors over the last 8 years after building careers by being noted Republ...
DC Republicans are a waste of space and hot air. Plus they have no prosecutorial authority. It will have to come from red state AGs. ...
I’d like to see what happens to the driver of that vehicle if he cruised around Fayetteville NC for a month or so. A lot of young dudes with bad haircuts driving Chargers and Mustangs would want a word with him. ...
I’ve been consistently losing weight since the beginning of the year. Started at 236 and before leaving for vacation hit 226…according to Inbody I’ve lost 14 lbs of fat and gained about 4 lbs of muscle. Last scan before beach I lost about 1.5 lbs of lean mass though…so I was cutting too deep. I coul...
You should never be naked in a room with another man unless a) you just finished an organized sporting event and are taking a shower or b) you’re at the doctor. No exceptions. ...
The franchise has been broken. Too few participants, judges easily swayed and compromised and of course the ballot stuffing that occurred last year. There needs to be more cooks and fewer critics. ...
I'm not sure the rationale behind not doing Botox, but I'd think of it like this
I think it boils down to not being able to perceive how you actually look to other people vs what you see in the mirror….and people go too far over time. How many celebrities have you seen and think...

Yeah…that made me smile. It looks like they’re really sticking to the old movies in theme and if that’s true it’ll be pretty damn good. ...

re: Running shoes worth it??

Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/23/24 at 9:16 am
If you’re getting any pain in your shins or calves then absolutely. Go to a real running store too…like Fleet Feet….so they can look at your gait. I had a pronation and they hooked me up with a shoe. Pain went away immediately. ...
My takeaway from this thread is that if you live in LA you have a high probability of seeing somebody get killed, being in or around a gun fight and/or watching homeless people doing all sorts of nasty shite. My life has been boring. ...

re: Anyone retire early early?

Posted by SquatchDawg on 5/22/24 at 7:42 am
I would argue the opposite. Wife and I married a little later than normal and delayed having kids. I’m 52 with one kid getting ready to leave HS and one starting. Most of my friends have kids out on their own and are focusing on setting themselves up. We had a great time in our twenties and were ab...
