LSU forward Corey Chest is reportedly entering his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.

The redshirt freshman from New Orleans played in 26 games, with 19 starts, this past season. He averaged 6.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Chest was ranked as the No. 1 player in Louisiana in 2022. He played his senior season in 2022-23 at The Link Academy in Branson, Missouri. He signed with LSU over Houston, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.

Recruiting analyst Sam Kayser reported the news on X, which Chest re-tweeted on his account:

ok BIG scott, where is the NIL to an important piece moving forward? Chest is a Mcnugget recruit. Chest isn't a transfer, he came here from HS so he wanted to be at LSU. If you cant keep this guy, get rid of the coach and yourself

Time to flex this new NIL money. Keeping g great players should be first priority. It’s hard to replace continuity. That being said, they have to have the want and be team players to some degree. NIL has changed that entire concept for the worse.
