Rocker was my roommate my first year in pro ball. Love that guy, different level of intensity. The biggest issue with Rocker is this, if you don't want to know what he thinks or where he stands, don't ask him because he will tell you the truth without sugar coating it. I want Rocker on my team in any situation.

Any guy with the stones to call Chipper Jones white trash is fine by me.

When the Jim Rome show had a fax machine JR's fax was signed Rockkker. Wonder if his opinions of the NY subway has changed.

Boy he got cancelled before it was a big deal. I hated to see that happen to him. He was a good closer for them. I guess no one can really have an opinion.

Oh you can have an opinion. It just better align with the leftist narrative. It doesn’t matter how hateful or stupid it is as long as it meets that criteria

I met that dude at 3 dollar cafe one night after a NLCS game against the Mets (maybe ‘99?). He was rolling around in a white corvette he would end up wrecking a week or 2 later. They sat him in a separate section where he and a few friends pounded coors lights. We were walking in the same time. He was actually very friendly and signed a ball my wife had caught from Andruw Jones between innings earlier that day

Loved this dudes act when i was in HS in the late 90s. Back when closers still had personality.

You mean the part where he looks like he is falling off the mound and 98 mile per hour fast ball was out of control. Yep I agree

You're thinking of The Wild Thing, Mitch Williams

I guess I was bringing the Aids pitcher in with the Wild pitcher and making them the same pitcher. A ride on the Atl subway comes to mind also.

He was a hell of a pitcher. You knew when he rolled up on the mound, as a hitter, he was about to rock your world.

He was railroaded for sharing unpopular opinions.
