Current Detroit Lions DC, interviewed for several NFL HC jobs in the offseason. Is an Aggie alum.

I’d say coaching wise, he has a better resume than Prime, working his way up in personnel departments and as an assistant. Not sure how he’d be with recruiting.

THey probably won't but this is the direction A&M should look.

If he’s interested in coaching in college he’s worth talking to for sure. It’s risky for both sides though. He should be a front runner for his own NFL job this year and from A&M’s perspective he’s never coached in college or recruited.

I heard Monken’s name today which was interesting

If they're gonna go the coordinator route, Schumann would make the most sense with his youth

AG is going to be a stud HC in the NFL in the next few years. Not sure if he wants to recruit, but if he does and commits to the grind that goes with 24/7/365 recruiting, it would be a scary hire.

I like the idea of Schumann more than AG for sure. He has the recruiting chops and if you like Lanning, he’s Lanning when Oregon hired him

I don't know much about him as a coach, but he was a SERIOUS badass on the field.

A&M didn’t spend almost 80 million to hire someone who has never been a HC in college or the NFL.

My thoughts as well. He would probably poach several staffers from GA.

He would crawl to College Station for the job

Go for it! He is the one to hurt UGA chance to continue to win championships.

It's just so hard for me to fathom someone on that trajectory choosing college.

NFL carousel where once you're in you may well get multiple HC shots despite mediocre results vs. spending all of your time texting and tik tok-ing 17 year old imbeciles who all think they're destined for greatness. And I much prefer CFB.
