If no major supes die, kinda defeats the entire premise of series. Stormfront, A-Train, Noir, Maeve and Soldier Boy should be done for good. Let's move on. I thought the season finale was disappointing, especially considering the gravitas and excellence of previous two episodes. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the hell out of show.

I do agree with that too. There have to be actual stakes at SOME point. If nobody ever dies then it’s kinda like what’s the point?

A-Train still being alive is ludicrous. His arc was completed and came full circle. Yet he’s still around, and actually better than ever with his new supe heart.

Deep is the same way. He is literally a waste of screen time, and has been for multiple seasons now. They basically only use him for cheap gag laughs now.

Doesn't this comic/story pride themselves on being the opposite of those regular comics?

Expected more from the anti-hero scope of The Boys.

The entire series is about superhero tropes taken to their extremes. Not sure why the dead/alive superhero revolving door trope would be the one exception.

I roll my eyes every time they’re on the screen. It damn near puts me to sleep. Really wish she could just fricking talk as well.

Loved episode 8, but Maeve surviving kinda pisses me off. I guess all those moments when Soldier Boy was aiming at Homelander would have been pointless regardless

Just finished the season.

I'm so disappointed in Black Noir. This whole time, he's been hyped up to be the ultimate badass. Turns out, he was not. He got his shite utterly kicked in by Soldier Boy. At the sound of hearing he's alive, he runs to his childhood home to cry and play with the Looney tunes. He only returns basically to beg Homelander to kill him. Such a waste of a character

Queen Marve really surprised me. I guess we can call her a legitimate Wonder Woman. She was never going to win. But she got some good punches in. That fight went a little bit how I would imagine an all out Superman v Wonder Woman fight.

Can the Deep go away. We get it, he's a fish fricker, not to mention he's utterly useless out of water. At least Aquaman is still super strong when not in water.

I see this show ending like this. Eventually, HL will finally crack. He will kill 1000s of people in a rampage. Ryan, aged a few years, potentially about 15 years old. Will see that his dad is out of control. And boom, we have us another Invincible (when tf does this show return!)type fight, father v son. Butcher will come in with some permanent V to help Ryan end Homeland for good when Ryan is getting his shite punched in.

I fast forward unless I see something crazy.

Only part of the show I absolutely hate.

That's what I was thinking. Homelander is organically a supe. He never received the V shot. He might be invulnerable to Soldier Boy's blast.

The series is excessively profane. But it's true to the comics in that regard, so who am I to judge? Still, "herogasm" and exploding penises are hard to watch in mixed company.

Homelander is one of the most interesting and complete villains I've ever seen.

It’s time for Atrain and Deep to go.

ATrain and Maeve should be dead, honestly hurts their characters to still be alive.

And if they were real people? ATrain obviously is glad to be alive but Maeve? She sacrificed herself to save people she cares about and others in Vought tower, now she has to live as an outcast on the run, one eye, and im guessing no powers?

The comics for the Boys is much different than the show adaptation.

And some major supes die, along with some other major characters

I find Deep humorous and Atrain with a new heart could be dangerous to anyone but HL.

its been maeves arc for like the entire series to want to be away from homelander and able to live quietly with the girlfriend...

i do agree she should be dead tho. but i dont think she minds having a faked death hidden non-supe life. the 1 eye is probably the only negative for her.

A-Train’s brother being mad that A-train killed blue hawk was so contrived. Just a nonsense basis to maintain their needless tension. Nobody cares about that storyline anyway.

Yep, blue hawk was never going to see jail time with the supes getting cover ups constantly. Brother was being a boo baby bitch.

Since HL can obviously see through Noirs mask, how are they going to bring back noir without HL knowing exactly what’s going on. Seemed HL couldn’t see through in comics.

He has been, but how much mileage can you get out of sexual relations with sea creatures and him being inherently stupid?

Yeah I guess, just seems like same old shite with him at this point.
