None.
I sold my business, house and camp paid off, retired, and kids are grown up.
When I had kids in school, they wanted cars, school tuition, and house note most people will have debt.

About 15k, bought a new car a couple weeks ago, 36/0 terms. Paid for house, could pay the car off without transferring funds to checking.
I’m constantly amazed at how much debt people accumulate.

30-50% of my income is year end so I carry some debt throughout the year and pay it off. I usually can shuffle it around to avoid any interest.

can't it make sense in some cases due to insurance?
i mean if you are only going to have liability...i guess maybe. but dont know too many people who only have liability unless they are broke as frick.
in general though if you have the cash to pay for a car....and you have the credit to get lets say a 2% interest rate....much better off doing longest terms possible at the lowest interest when compared to inflation. then take your lump sum and invest it.

Just mortgage. When we had two car notes, wife's student loan and our Lowe's card, it seemed like we never had any money. I work with a guy who makes a little more than I do, his wife doesn't work. His mortgage is 2.5x more than mine, he and his wife have brand new vehicles, boat loan, side-by-side loan and his kids are in private school(so are mine). I have no idea how he affords all of it.

For the first time in my adult life, I have zero debt.
I've been debt free from mortgage, auto & motorcycle payments, no loans or credit card balances since the early 2000's.
My only expenses monthly are normal living expenses:
Food
Utilities
Entertainment
Insurances, etc.
It's a wonderful feeling to not have to make payments on a house, vehicle, other accumulated debt.

Mortgage ($215k left - $1200/month)
SUV ($22k left - $440/month)
Sedan ($24k left - $390/month)
That’s it, but those car payments kill me. Picked them both up this year. Was only $290/month before having to replace our SUV.

If you don't have any debt you are probably not of any notable wealth.
In fact it would be fiscally irresponsible to be rich without debt.
Now if you are just a poor that's a problem.

Really wish I could take out a 10k student loan for my last semester of college that I’m paying out of pocket for
you missed about 5 semesters worth time to take out that loan
ETA not gonna say how much I owe, but for the topic at hand, COVID interest freeze will easily save me 6 figures worth of loan repayment with the 2+ years freeze and compounding interest
