I'm mid 40's and about 4-5 years ago I was eating lobster and thought I felt something. Next time I had a boiled lobster my mouth swelled up and felt like my throat was closing. Popped a Benadryl and was fine. Lobster isn't something I'm even interested in much, but I live on Cape Cod, MA, and whenever someone comes up to visit, they want em. I get some 3# ers and do it up with corn and potatos and newspaper on the table style. I've found the worst reaction is to straight boiled lobster. If they've been sauteed or grilled, or baked, I get less of a reaction. Not sure why, maybe not as juicy, a little more dry. Interesting more than anything.

Alcohol. Only one drink and I’ll wake up naked in a jail cell three counties away.

Reaction free for 6 years now.

The last time I drank red wine years ago, I had an allergic reaction to it (well most likely the tannins in it). My face got super red and hot. Haven't had a glass since.

Any shellfish and beer. Gives me freaking gout. Gave both of them up around 5-6 years ago. Switched to bourbon and it doesn’t seem to bother me. Made me damn near an alcoholic, but no gout

I used to take allergy shots when I was a kid because it seemed I was allergic to everything. My Allergies dont bother me as much now other than mold, cedar pollen or wheat dust.

an allergy to Tylenol.

This and ibuprofen. They both trigger a flushing about 10 minutes after I take them. Now, I just deal with whatever hurts.
