What is something you have developed an allergic reaction to as you have aged?

Something used in Mexican/Tex-Max cooking for me.

It started as a mild reaction a few years where I had a rash (like a niacin flush) but it has progressed to extreme abdominal discomfort for 3-4 days if I eat it now.

Looks like I’m relegated to Taco Bell or at-home Mexican cooking.

My daughter was allergic to eggs until she was 2.

Now she is suddenly allergic to cashews. At 2 and 1 month.

For awhile, tomatoes. All of a sudden one day I had eaten something with tomatoes in it and I started tearing up, my eyes got puffy, my throat felt like it was closing. It scared the shite out of me but I didn't know what it was until about a week later I had them again and had a similar reaction. I avoided eating them until a few years later and when I did the reaction wasn't nearly as bad. And now I have no problem.

The fungicide farmers spray on crops around me, mainly soy beans and corn. One year it just started giving me a headache and foggy-headed feeling. It starts slow and builds and lass for a few weeks during the late Spring when they spray it.

I didn't used to have it. It just sort of developed one year. I'm usually miserable for the better part of a month every year.

Specifically stupid people cause the greatest reaction, but people in general cannot be excluded.

Lately anytime I cook and try to add powdered spices I’ll have to leave the kitchen and sneeze hard several times. Never used to have that problem before.
