Walkers dad did not want him to play as a true freshman. he wanted him to redshirt. that's the reason he sat.

And yet I get downvoted every time I blast Kelly for bringing in Daniels.

Nuss should have been QB1 with Howard as the backup this year.
And you'll continue to get downvoted because blasting Kelly for bringing in Daniels is stupid as frick.

It's literally one of the dumbest beliefs on this site.

Did you read the OP? It clearly states he wants a fair shot at second string, which is what I was referring to.

Nah bro, frick reading comprehension. I just want to dunk on something you didnt say for the upvotes.

By improving at a higher rate and being better than him?

In what phase of the game that he was worse at in year 1? Nussmeier almost started.

Some of you have a deeply unhealthy God complex when it comes to Howard. Daniels was rated as high as he was out of HS and he is a mediocre to below average passer.

You have a myopic view of athletic improvement.

Huh? Did I say he couldn't improve? I don't think he can improve enough to beat out Nussmeier without game experience, which he won't get.

If you want to redshirt you are going to be scout team and not second team. This is BS from Scarborough.

Big time football programs need 3-4 QB's in the roster. Why can't players be more patient.

If Walker wants to be assured to star at qb then he can transfer to a location that guarantees that he will. My guess is that every player on our roster is capable of starting somewhere. Sooner or later Walker will start for LSU if he stays. I hope he stays and know he has nfl potential.

If he leaves that just has to be his decision. We will be fine and bring in a proven player who has a year or two under their belt already at the college level.

This is a fact and easy as frick to do now with the portal. You don’t need a Joe burrow every year to win a national championship. Georgia has done it with very mediocre QB play as has Bama. As long as you got a competent QB with a good Oline and skill positions, you can put up a ton of points.

Here’s what gets me. Walker Howard and his Dad made it very clear they wanted a Redshirt year in 2022 and they got it. Now we hear complaining about him running with the Scout Team in 2022. What do they expect?

He was trying to do Mahomes trick passes because we were playing a terrible team. He wouldn’t have done that in SEC play.

He literally started off his play in the SECCG by almost throwing 2 straight picks.

Southern is a mediocre SWAC team. He put on one of the worst QB performances in LSU history that day.

Do you think CBK isn't capable of QB evaluation?

It sure doesn’t look like it based on leaving Nuss on the bench all season

LSU would be better off taking a developed qb from another program. LSU does not have a very good track record of developing qbs.

Nuss whould get 1st half and HW gets the 2nd half of the bowl game.

There's really no reason to play JD5. 13 games this season, we know what we have in him.

Yep

Thought the same thing about Brennan

If he didn’t start, it meant we had a better QB

You can’t believe this after watching Nuss with our receivers. If anything we could have won more - and I’ll tell you what, Auburn and Arkansas would have been much less puckered.

Just think if only the coaches had an opportunity to watch the QBs with the WR on a daily basis. It’s truly amazing how much better at evaluating talent in only 1 half of football some one like you is.
