What should I do guys?

I'm up by 7.16 in PPR. I have Singletary and he has Gabe Davis. I'm on Sleeper with 86% probability with Singletary and Davis projecting same 8.6 pts remainder of game (if played).

Commish is leaving it to me and opponent. My opponent wants to split pot 50/50.

Maybe it was covered, I like the idea of splitting based on the projections. But if combining the money from both 1st and 2nd then need to make sure the second place guy gets at least what second should pay out.

As in if 1st gets 400 and 2nd gets 100 for a total of 500, but the split is 85% to 15% then the second place guy would only get $75. Just something that popped up.

You don't want to split the whole pot when looking at projections, you'd want to split the 1st place winnings.

In your example, 1st place should get 340 and 2nd place should get 160. You're essentially discounting the normal 1st place winnings by 15% and giving the excess to 2nd place.

Weak. Don't do that.

If you and your opponent can't agree on something, how confidant are you that your commish will decide on something fair and reasonable?

The 3 commissioners in our league decided we are going to give the two managers 2 options

1. Week 18 points will factor into the week 17 matchup for the players that were impacted on MBF

2. Week 18 championship

They are less than a point in projections. One team is up by 6 with Allen, the other team has Boyd, Higgins, and Singletary

This is from sleeper and the way it should be handled. It’s an unfortunate scenario, but all this talk of splitting or basing the final off of projections is BS. Those that play FF understand that the best team doesn’t alway win and there’s an element of luck. Leaving the score as is should be the only solution to end the season. Down vote all you want, but thats the way it should go down.

I hate the week 18 championship option. No chance I'd do that one

I would set it up team A would get 85% of 1st place payout and 15% of 2nd place payout.

Team B gets 15% of 1st place and 85% of 2nd.

It's an unprecedented situation during the most important fantasy football week. People play fantasy for thousands of dollars and sometimes more. People considering different options is not a bad thing, and completely reasonable.

I would say this extends beyond "an element of luck".

You're entitled to your opinion. I think it's a reasonable opinion but I'm not going to sit here and act like it's the only reasonable opinion. Other options have merit too.

Sleeper literally gives 2 different options in their statement lol.

combining the weeks doesn't really make sense unless both were tied and down = starters from the game. Otherwise someone may have a lead they didn't earn

Yeah if you were gonna combine weeks you may as well just go with the week 17 outcome.

Each team in the championship gets second place money, then you split the remaining pot based on % chance of victory. If your site doesn’t have %, speak to the 2 owners and have them agree on a % of victory. If they cannot agree, have the league vote on % of victory and split it accordingly.

Assuming they don’t play.
