Are you hunting wild pheasant? Guide/lodge or DIY? If guide/lodge, which outfit?

Looking for a place I can take my dad for wild pheasant with some bonus ducks and/or geese.

Planning on Iowa bow hunt with brother and 2 friends as long as we get picked, we all have at least 5 preference points. And will be going to Illinois, this will be 14 years in a row there, to bow hunt also.

This past November, my dad and I went with Dennis Foster. He runs Dakota Pheasant Guide. Great outfit, would book again. Wild birds and he will put you on em. Stayed in and hunted around Redfield, SD.

We hunt all wild birds with our German shorthairs. In ND my wife’s cousin lives up there and gets us good access to good hunting land. We almost never hunt with guides

No out of town hunting trips planned for '23 except 2or 3 prairie dog hunting trips this spring-fall in the panhandle of OK. Got a lot of ammo yet to load.

North Central Oklahoma public land whitetail archery early November. If time permits I'm driving over to scout Kansas. Gonna look like a real coonass too, bringing the pirogue and hip boots.

My wife and I are expecting our first child, a boy, in late June 2023!

Super excited about it but this will also throw a big wrench into my typically jam packed fall hunting plans. No western trips for the first time since 2018

As of now, just me and Dad's Illinois public land trip is on the schedule. I will attempt to duck and deer hunt in LA/MS as much as possible but I don't really know what to expect. Hopefully some OK whitetail if we get the lease again

Either way, it's going to be a great year

Arizona for 3 types of quail.

Wick when i ran my dog in Montana, the guy i camped next to had a string of german shorthairs and was from Arizona. One was younger male that the guy said used to be his best dog. All the dog did now was lay around. He had something in his brain that he breathed in while hunting in Arizona. For the life of me now i can't remember exactly what
