To combat the Chinese navy we need to reduce our navy, and rely on them for batteries for EVs rather than produce our own fossil fuels.

While this guy is an obvious moron, in a world with hypersonic missiles the Navy is somewhat obsolete. It’s hard to imagine but I heard from someone I served with that China could take out the entire Pacific Fleet in 30 minutes. A lot of brass get frustrated when they war game a Taiwan situation because the loss of assets and the casualties are mind blowing and we don’t win.
