If the Republican Party wants my vote in 2024, they’ll nominate a Conservative.

If Trump is the GOP nominee, I will vote third party or write-in.

Not if the Republicans nominate someone who isn’t a Conservative.

If you want my vote, nominate a Conservative. It’s, simple, really.

military

Trump dropped the ball on this one. Even in 2016, I thought that his first act on day one of his presidency should have been to fire every officer O4 and above who was promoted under Obama. Need to purge the Marxism out of the military and that needs to be a very high priority for the next Republican president (if we ever get another one), IMO.

Also, every professor at all service academies needs to be fired.

I would happily vote for either Trump or DeSantis. I really came to appreciate DeSantis after living in Florida during 2020 and 2021, and I thought Trump was great until 2020.

He dropped the ball on a lot of things.

He said he would do a lot of things and ended up forgetting about them once in office.

what i mean is he is pro military. remember all the left wingers being ANTI MILITARY? like anti police? they have been like that dating back to reagan.

you can be PRO military and still not be a neocon. seek and destroy and GTFO. not get stuck bringing democracy to barbarians like W tried to do or with no long term plan in asscrackistan forever after fighting the taliban who sponsored AQ. trump then had to fix obamas screw up with ISIS in iraq also.

Freaking unbelievable that after the last two and one half years there are still folks who would say they'd sit out the next election if Trump is the nominee.

Stupid people don't know they're stupid, in fact they typically think they are astute, discerning, and intelligent!

I'd say it's sad but it isn't sad, it is pathetic.

That's why IMHO a Dem POTUS is highly likely to be put in office next POTUS election - WAY too much division on the side of the "GOP Base".

IMHO the "GOP Base" has been effectively destroyed, politically speaking. It is so fractured that it won't be able to win a general election for POTUS against ANY Dem candidate. That's why the OP and the topic of the thread is very good food for thought - because it does seem to be true - and no matter how bad things get or stay until Nov 2024, it seems like it will be the case.

No matter who the GOP nominee is, there will be a huge contingent of the base that will sit at home because they refuse to cast a vote for Pence, or DeSantis, or Trump.

Me, for example, I won't vote for Pence - well, maybe I will, if he is the GOP nominee, but I prefer Trump or DeSantis.

Pretty sad.

Back in the day we had a choice. Duke or EWE for La. Governor. Republicans held their nose and voted EWE. Folks have to know Trump is way better than Biden even if Trump runs your guy into the dirt in the primaries.

Too many R’s have actual lives and have tuned all of this political nonsense bullshite out of their lives so that they can actually enjoy their lives.

If you turn off the news, stop following news and politics.. your life instantly becomes much better.

That’s what has happened with “R’s”
