I whined a bit when my plants on the back porch froze last winter.

You couldn't address this in the current heat thread? You just had to start a new one?

I remember years ago it was so hot the roads were buckling. This was before the words "climate change" was known.

Alltime heat record Iowa : 118 on July 20 , 1934

In Nebraska ? July 15 , 1934 118

In Montana ? July 20 , 1892 it hit 117

In Illinois ? July 14 , 1954 117

In NY ? July 22 , 1926 108 degrees

In North Dakota ? 121 July 6 , 1936

California ? 134 in Death Valley in 1913

Florida ? 109 degrees in 1931

Vermont ? 100 in 1911

Virginia ? 110 in 1954

Alaska ? 100 in 1915

Alabama ? 112 in 1925

Maine ? 105 in 1911

Has any state set a new all time high in the past 10 years? Don’t think so. Its just the commie controlled media trying to get their boot lickers in a tizzy, that helps donations to these radical nutjobs.

An old man told me about 15 years ago...son, I've been alive for a long time and as far back as I can remember it's been hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

and he was right.

I'm sorry that I'm not standing in the sun for 12 hours, I don't want to have a heat stroke. But you do you.

its not even 100 yet here in Mississippi. i remember 106 and 107 quite routinely. its just climate hysteria.

i was randomly watching a canadian soccer game and they were saying how hot it was at 26 * C and felt like 30 * C and they were taking all these water breaks...so of course, I looked up the conversion...the conversion is 78.8* felt like 86*. people are getting softer and softer.

I work outside so yeah it’s hot. But you learn different ways to tolerate the heat, drink plenty of fluids and life goes on. Fall is coming!

Man, I remember when I went with friends in the boat while they wakeboarded... During the Summer. We often passed a ship yard multiple times every time we were out there. We talking late June and July.. Hot as frick and there were wielders, in their wielding gear, in the sun.. wielding shite. And when it gets hot I always think about that. "Yeah its hot as frick, but there are people earning a living being in the middle of this heat with protective clothing generating heat to perform their job.

Or people who does mechanical work. The last time I had to get a new AC, I remember one of the dudes had to go in the attic, he was up there for about 15 mins, dude came out and was soaking wet. So I agree people do act like pussies when it comes to the heat. That's what happens when everyone is in an office all day that is kept relatively cool. I don't know how people can stay inside all day. I don't care how hot it is, I can only be inside for so long before having to go outside.

If I was told that I had to pick being inside all day without being able to go outside or being outside all day without going inside, as long as I was able to hydrate I would stay outside... in the heat.. all day.

Idk what it is, but this year, at least in New Orleans, it has felt oppressively more hellacious than even past years.
