Jacob Mayers is a common name from Nicholls, he just walks so damn many people.

This one will be a tricky decision if they are on him. One of the biggest issues with this current LSU team is how some of the more talented guys have issues throwing strikes.

Mayers was better last season as a freshman. He has been walking entirely too many like you said. Already has more walks this season than he did last season with around 15-20 less IP. The last few weeks they have used him in relief in the midweek games and starting him on Fridays. Not sure that is a smart idea on their coaches part. Seems less rest would only make the control a bigger problem. His pitch count makes it tough for him to make it through 5 innings with the control issues.

New summer assignment found:

Nic Bronzini will be pitching for the Walnut Creek Crawdads in the California Collegiate League.

It's a good league. Hopefully he's allowed to throw a ton of innings and work on his command.

His walk rate is truly absurd this year. I’m not sure I’ve actually seen it from a semi successful starter. 56 walks in 53.2 IP is just wild.
