For anyone interested in the recruits playing in the Louisiana state championships this weekend. 2024: William Schmidt - Catholic BR (will be starting championship game) Grant Breaux - Catholic BR (Injured) John Pearson - WM All these 2024 guys will be playing at 5:30 Saturday. 2025: ...
10 in the portal would either suggest some of these kids never actually wanted to be here and leaving at the first sight of getting passed on the depth chart or that Jay is doing something to run kids off. 10 is a lot. If that happens based on numbers right now they would be 2 players short of th...
That seems like plenty. I went through my spreadsheet and finish with 29 remaining as you did and then I can see maybe 5-6 others getting in the portal....
Because lsu fans love to hold players to their recruiting rankings & talk themselves into unrealistic expectations
This is 100% true. Fans love to do that without understanding where those ranking come from and what they are based on. Those high school draft rankings are based on p...
Jump will very likely be top 2 rounds. Little doesn't have a choice. He is a senior....
A lot of people think of NIL for incoming players in the draft to make a difference. This situation is perfect for NIL. If Jones gets taken at pick 116 like his ranking that is signing bonus of around 575-600K. You work up an NIL to counter that and have the talking point you mentioned of telling hi...
MLB has out their top 150 draft prospects and Kling is not in it. Tommy White is 16 Luke Holman 56 Gage Jump 65 Thatcher Hurd 101 Jared Jones 116 Kling's decision will be based on if he will bet on himself to improve this offseason similar to how he bet on himself out of high school inste...
There is no magic number. It can take different players different time to have it click. Which is a reason you don't give up on Kling even after 2 years. If it does click, then the potential he brings is great. If it doesn't click, other guys get opportunities to pass him up. Plenty players have ...
Regardless of all the arguing on this thread about Kling, multiple people have been given opportunities to take it from him and nobody has. At this point you play Kling in CF and put him in the 8/9 hole for the rest of the season and hope for the best....
Ruddell did not have a good fall and spring at all. He flashed some power every now and then but he had one of the lowest BA and had one of the highest K rates. Y’all think just cause they not playing they will magically be better than the guys out there because yall haven’t seen it. These coaches s...

He has shown recent improvement against SEC pitching. The passed balls are a problem but it is mostly a focus thing it seems like. He is younger being he graduated high school 1 year early and you hope he improves and has a little extra maturity as a player next season. That said, they should have s...
Can get away with it at that level and still have some successful starts when the stuff is what it is. Move to the SEC and the stuff isn't as dominant to hitters and those walks are a complete different story. Basically Hurd for us right now....
Jacob Mayers is a common name from Nicholls, he just walks so damn many people.
This one will be a tricky decision if they are on him. One of the biggest issues with this current LSU team is how some of the more talented guys have issues throwing strikes. Mayers was better last ...
He pitched well in the fall. The preseason spring scrimmages his numbers were very similar to how they are now. Extremely frustrating to say the least knowing what type of pitcher he could be. Has to be frustrating for Jay to, but at this point he is a midweek/scraping the bottom of the pen Sunday g...
He showed a change up this past Saturday night I never saw him throw before. Got a K with it and turned to the dugout smiling. Kind of seemed like it was something he has been working on and it worked for him....

That isn't quite right. He was mostly middle of the pack in hitting that fall when it was all said and done. He just really had a span of a few scrimmages that were really good that may stick in your head. Believe it or not, Jack Merrifield was the leading hitter that fall when it comes to AVG an...
Send Guidry into the offseason focused on middle infield
That is exactly what they did last season and it didn't really work out. ...
Reading a little bit on him and they are saying the potential is through the roof with the power bat and strong arm. The rest of his game needs work though. Sounds similar to Jared Jones out of high school....
Still plenty time for him to climb the rankings, but Cade Arambide at 102 surprises me. I thought he would be much higher....
He is a 5th year senior that is a singles hitter without any future MLB potential. Meanwhile Kling is a sophomore from a state that doesn't have the most competitive baseball in high school in Pennsylvania but is ridiculously athletic and has all the tools to make it to the MLB if he can get reps an...
