Why pay someone that much money?

A five year contract for $50 million pays the same but doesn't have the bite on the arse effect of a longer deal.

A&M was stupid to pay Jimbo the money (S. Woodard).

LSU was stupid to pay BK the money (again, S. Woodard).

When will schools ever learn?

Without J. Winston, Jimbo would never have gotten that much green. Never.

Woodward started that thinking it was cool but all you do is end up stuck with a coach who is not living up to what you thought he would do and pay a lot of money to fire him.

Those are the types of contracts you are going to have to offer if you want coaches that have been around the national title scene to come to your school.

First of all Jimbo got his new contract from the new AD. Scott was already at LSU in 2021.

Without Malzahn missing the most obvious fake punt ever, FSU wouldn't have won that title.

10 year contracts for football coaches should absolutely come to an end until they achieve Saban like status..
