Should I give Christmas card to boss?

The CEO of a company I started working for this year (I know OT all own their companies or are retired on a yacht with 10’s) is hosting a Christmas/end of the year party with catered food and everything. I’m thinking about getting them a Christmas card/thank you card with a gift card or should I not get them one? TIA

Yes, handwritten note.
And a $20 IHOP gift card.

Asks for advice. Makes snarky comments.

Yes...I did my CEO but he also sent me onr. I'm considering sending one to all the directors that report to me, but can't decide if they're gonna open it and think "he thought of me...that's nice." Or "why the hell do I want a picture of my bosses family"

Buy a backscratcher online, have Amazon send it to his house wrapped and put a thank you note with it.
That’s a gift that keeps on giving.

You should give him/her an upper decker.

A donation to the Human Fund in his name should suffice

I definitely would not do a gift card.

Do not give your boss a gift card

Do you know him well?
If so get him a small gift reflecting his personal taste IF you feel compelled to do this.
Personally, I wish gifts were banned in the work place.
Just have lunch catered for everyone one day in December or include that in a bonus check.

Gift card? Really? Even when I get one from a friend or family member, I think "This required absolutely no thought and was just to make the gifter feel better about themselves." I'd rather just a card with a simple one line written thought.
Gift card for a CEO will probably not even make it beyond the party garbage....Or, if he's a half decent person, he might pass it on to the person taking out the post party garbage.
Does everything include drinks? Odd that you left that out. If not, he's a cheap arse
