I certainly wasn’t cheering for OSU. Was happy to see Mizzou win.

Won’t find me cheering for OSU, PSU or MSU if they could make a bowl game.

There’s no way you believe FSU would have played Michigan as close as Bama did.

Florida State's defense was better than Alabama's. 305 ypg vs 313 ypg, 15.9 ppg vs 18.4 ppg. ACC vs SEC sure, Florida State worked over LSU better than Alabama did.

They were on fire in the ACC championhip. They would have played great knowing it was up to them to win. It would have been the same kind of grind it out game.

Almost like Bama might not be as great of a team as the committee stated, no? frick Bama lost with Michigan playing horrendously on special teams.

I guarantee you FSU has a better center than Bama in addition to a better defense, better receivers and arguable better starting RB

Who would win vs Bama and FSU? I don’t know, because it didn’t play out. Who would win vs Michigan and FSU? I don’t know either.

Nobody knows. Vegas doesn’t know. Committee doesn’t know. Random posters don’t know.

Anyone declaring Bama better than any team is delusional and just looking at Bama as a brand and not on field results

Unfortunately losing their starting qb, it sucks but they were not the same team after that

So, if Tampa Bay and the Saints both win this weekend, Tampa wins the division. But, what if they lose their QB in that game and aren't the same team, will the Saints get in the playoffs?

Main reason they tried to force the matchups was to get higher ratings as they negotiate playoff television rights moving forward.

It was a disgusting act but paid off in their minds with the ratings they got. Sadly shows everything that is wrong with this sport and college athletics now.

Ok...but they got it right. Alabama was clearly the 4 and Michigan was clearly the #1.

What do you think the matchups should have been?

They must have been loving those TCU and Cincy markets over the last couple of years then

Y'all are clowns throwing out Milroe’s stats like that. FSU would have lost very badly & yes ratings would have been terrible

Mr. Q4! You would’ve been much better off letting everyone think your stupidity was confined to college basketball and your hatred of will Wade

Bama earned their way in by winning? Didn't FSU go 13-0?

Good point. You know a team that has a better o-line than Bama? I do, FLORIDA STATE

Hmmm, interesting

So we can't definitively know if bama or fsu was better (which I actually agree with) but you can definitively tell us that FSU's defense was better than Bama's? And several of your friends in here can tell us that Rodemaker would have matched or exceeded Milroe's production against Michigan?

If y'all want to convince us that what the Committee did was egregious, you might start by being consistent in your arguments. Hell, try being consistent in a single post.

You say Bama "earned their way" with 1 loss at home to the playoff. Does that mean FSU going undefeated and winning out didn't earn their way? FSU was a Power 5 undefeated champ, if they got their asses kicked then so be it but they actually earned their way to the championship not Bama. Everyone knows putting Bama in had to do with ratings, money plus the Saban legacy. BUSLLSHIT!

Based on what? Because it was a close game? Michigan was destroying Bama with almost no offense, and screwing up on special teams.

There is nothing that showed Bama was better than FSU in that game.

This outrage is stupid. The moment they decided a playoff was the answer it was about who the best 4 were after the last game. If you cared about the regular season you would have kept the bcs and let it play out. Playoffs, in all sports, are about who is playing the best ball at the end of the season. Alabama would have run over FL St, the FL St that played Louisville. Earlier, who knows. You want a playoff then this is the result. Subjectivity in the back end. You can’t apply the regular season matters logic when debating 4 and 5/6 because those teams, historically have no business being there.

We are now entering 12 teams, what a joke. Will it be exciting for more people, yes. Will it make more money, yes. Is it a better way to decide who is best, no. It is now a tournament and the regular season truly matters less and we will have less games that matter OoC.

Every post season tournament that exists now rewards the hottest teams, not the teams that came through all season. Cinderella stories are dumb. They are exciting when they happen, but they f everything up and make brackets meaningless. Then, even if they win, does anyone think they were really the best team or just the tournament champion. We are robbed over and over again of better matchups. I get it. It draws more eyes, until it doesn’t and we get a lopsided championship game.
