Ummmm. This is exactly what they did by putting Bama in. They actually lost a game while FSU lost none.

You are arguing with yourself here, which is the logic used to get Bama into the playoffs to begin with.

So we can't definitively know if bama or fsu was better (which I actually agree with) but you can definitively tell us that FSU's defense was better than Bama's? And several of your friends in here can tell us that Rodemaker would have matched or exceeded Milroe's production against Michigan? If y'all want to convince us that what the Committee did was egregious, you might start by being consistent in your arguments. Hell, try being consistent in a single post.
So, you are saying trying to guess what an outcome will be is impossible so choosing teams based on that is dumb right?

You can read, right? And it's worth repeating: I'm not the one in here making definitive statements.

But I'd love for you to link up your outrage over past undefeated Group of 5 teams that were left out since you're going that route.

So wait, knowing and admitting that, you’re cool with giving the shot to the team that lost at home by 10 to another playoff team instead of the team that lost to no one?

Good lord man

And FSU lost their way in by … winning their conference? Being undefeated and beating two SEC teams? Not being Alabama?

Struggling against a shite Louisville whole not having a backup capable of playing at the D1 level

Held them to by far their lowest offensive output of the season and we only saw 3 quarters of their backup play

Alabama struggled worse against a much much much more shite Auburn team with their starting QB and it wasn’t held against them

I wonder if this 12 team playoff will be different? Will you play all year to get a slot in the top 12 teams or at the end of the season the committee picks the 12 teams they think will make the best playoff tournament?

I am not arguing against myself. I am saying if you want a playoff you got what you want. That is your reward, the teams most capable of winning at the end of the year are the ones in the playoffs. Alabama would have destroyed the FL St team that played Louisville. That’s why they were chosen. I did not endorse that. Playoffs are dumb. March madness is stupid without reseeding. In college football, were there are 12 games, the regular season should matter more. You are going to have 3 loss teams playing for the championship and if you don’t think a team like LSU would have a punchers chance against the 12 above them then I don’t know what to tell you. A team with 3 losses has no business near even a chance, let alone a legit chance.

So, if you have a playoff, you have to invite the teams that have the best chance to win, but it is not going to be indicative of how teams played in the regular season.

Yet that wasn't the same team that would have played, so you have no way of knowing this.

Thanks to people like you, the sport is going to get worse. Keep cheering this on. Good work.

If you pay attention to history, then you know exactly what will happen.

It isn't going to be about what teams did during the regular season. Narratives will change when the darlings lose 3-4 games and need to backdoor their way into it. It is going to happen. It is what CFB is and always will be.

Some programs are more equal than others. If you haven't been able to identify which ones these are by this point, you really shouldn't call yourself a fan of the sport.
