Prior to the end of the bowl game, I was disappointed and would have welcomed his departure to make room for others.

But I saw what I had been waiting for at the end of the game, and was looking forward to him putting in the off-season work to continue that level of play.

Now, I’m upset that he waited so late, and now we’ve had others leave, and the potential portal transfers are slim.

3 different coaches and 2 years of film. Certainly didn't live up to the hype we heard but deep down he never really got the best chance.

One good year and he could flip the script. Seems silly to just give it up. He can never get that year back once it’s gone.

This is one of the dumbest financial moves a LSU player has made in recent memory especially since they can now at least collect NIL money. Whoever has advised him has set him up for failure. In 8 months he could completely be without a job, no diploma, and what little money he did collect has already been spent on the stupid agent that advised him to go pro. His tape has him going as a undrafted free agent from this past year with a medical history. Great decision.

Terrible decision on his part. He didn’t do much on the field at LSU, an average DT in the portal would give more than what he did last season. Wish him luck but he should’ve come back to improve his odds

Is he really expected to get drafted? Would have to be a late round pick?

I’ll never understand these guys that seemingly have their mind made up about going pro from the start despite all of the tape and evals saying it’s a bad idea

This reminds me of that DT we had a few years ago, same class that Dupree was a WR.

That dude also declared early, and was an undrafted free agent.

Sometimes we get these high school superstars that just can't stay in college more than 3 years, like they're going to turn into a pumpkin or something if they do stay. Some dumb frickers tell them they need to get to the second contract as fast as possible... when they won't make it through the first one.
