here is Barbe's facilities that they just finished for this year. Youtuber Dsarm stopped a couple weeks ago to do the video. Pretty amazing considering when Glen got there like 36 years ago, didnt even have an outfield fence.

Youtube shorts video

Full video- 11 min

I know Sam Houston has pretty nice facilities, who else in the state has facilities like this?

Anyone know if Prairieville High has made a hire for their baseball coach yet, or who it could be?

Who are they going to pitch vs Curtis? Seems like a bad idea

I believe the lefty Claverie has been their #2. Who'd they pitch in games 2 and 3 against AHS?

Claverie started GM2.

Avery Williams GM3. Was pulled early for Spadoni.

It’s Arencibia’s turn to go. Claverie would be on short rest

I would start Arencibia and not think twice about it.

I would think long and hard about starting Schmidt against Acadiana.

No one. Not even close. West Monroe has the same size stadium, turf, indoor hitting facility, but nothing like the locker room. The weight room is for everyone, not just baseball. It's larger and nicer, but like I said...it's for everyone. The meeting room has stadium seating and chairback seats, but again nothing like Barbe's.

Truly a one of a kind facility that they've earned and should be a source of pride.

Rummel would be crazy not to start Gio against Curtis.

If I recall correctly, the Rummel-Catholic game had a weather delay in the semis last year. Rummel let Arencibia continue after the delay, but Catholic pulled Schmidt. Is that accurate? I wonder if weather will play into the decisions. I don't think weather was supposed to be an issue last year and rain just fired off out of nowhere.

Last year's weather was a headache.

I got there around 9 A.M. for Notre Dame's semifinal. Right before the first pitch, they postponed it until tomorrow.

My next assignment was covering St. Thomas More in the late afternoon. That game's start was delayed, then there was a very long weather delay.

I left during the delay. Was only a few weeks post back surgery. Couldn't hang in there any longer and drive back that night to New Iberia.

I don't think STM resumed until 9:30 P.M. with a finish close to midnight. I think another game was moved to Westlake High.

they really need to split up locations for baseball
it was so much better having 5A Select at Southeastern two years ago

All divisions in their own location. Select I and NS 1 at the same location would be incredible.

I know that's highly unlikely, but it would be great.

they are not going to split them. but when youngsville completes their facility, i expect them to win the bid next time its up.

makes sense considering its a much more central location and will be much newer and nicer than the sulphur complex is.

LHSAA wants it in one spot. There are only a few locations in the state that have the kind of facilities it takes to run something like this.
