You keep touting your low population this thread but somehow magically believe that somehow y’all have the absolute top crop of talent almost year in and year out? For whatever reason your area just sprouts D1 prospects at a much higher clip than anyone else in the state? I have no clue why you insist on keeping your head so far in the sand when it comes to this. Is barbe flat out cheating? I’m not sure and I’m not privy to such information, but when this school with such a small population to pull from (your words, not mine) has had this level of success for such a consistent period of time, they’re CLEARLY doing something different than everyone else. Same with Curtis, Evangel, WM, etc in football back in the day.. this type of shite doesn’t just organically happen, they’re more than likely bending the rules somewhere and have a great program in place to do so

They might though

When you have a smaller metro you have less schools to share the available talent with

Look at how the other male sports at those high schools do. Barbe, Sam Houston, and Sulphur are non-existent in football and basketball. Baseball is the only sport the kids in that area grow up playing and is the sport that gets the most resources from the high schools

STM is really the only school in the Lafayette and Lake Charles area that is consistently good in baseball, basketball, and football
