I’ve never watched the other seasons - is each season stand alone and I can watch it or do I need to watch all the previous seasons more like a Breaking Bad?

It's woke crap w/ a Mary Sue so I guess that definition is apt. My guess is that you are using the word in the vulgar definition though. S1 is A+. S2 has brilliant parts but doesn't stick the landing. S3 has some great characters but overall is only mildly satisfying. S4 was terrible. S5 terrible. And no you don't need to watch the previous seasons or the movie although S5 steals from the movie quite a bit.

Season 5 has no real connection to the other seasons. There may be some head nods or something, but you don't have to watch the others first. It might help to set the tone?

And it's not woke crap, it's just standard level woke, Previous poster in imbalanced.

If you don't like it, stop watching.

The first 3 seasons were incredible. The last two seasons were utter trash.

season 5 was pretty good. 1 was best so id start there.

they are all stand alone but have some very small connections here and there for the keen eyed.

A lot more people hating on it in this thread than in the season-long thread. I thought S5 was OK enough, but definitely not on the same level as the first 2, and still a ways behind S3.

Each season works standalone, but I would recommend watching the movie first, then watching them in order (S4 can be skipped). S5 is the only one that doesn't feature either a character from a previous season, or have some sort of tie into the events of movie.

Season five is OK…..season 4 is CRAP

Season 1 is first class
Season 2&3 second class

Season 4 no class

I watched the first episode of Season 5 a month or so ago and basically forgot about it.

Some have callbacks to previous seasons, this one is entirely stand alone.

It’s a good show that is worth watching. I’ve seen the first season which was absolutely awesome and the fifth season which I thought was very good. Both stories seemed to stand on their own - never felt like there were details I was missing.

I axed in the original season long thread (with no luck), but has anyone found any ties to previous seasons yet? It's really weird that the showrunners didn't squeeze anything in.

S5 started out well but quickly got very underwhelming.

I'd start with season 1. Billy Bob is great in it

People here overrate season 5 because 4 was so bad. Nothing comes close to the greatness of season 1 and 2.

S1-2 are pure brilliance. S3 and S5 are pretty good. S4 was okay. They are all stand alone seasons.
