Sucks his prospects are more set to live a normal life. At the same time I bet he would take being alive over the alternative like we all would. Fighting cancer at a young age has to scary.

I am so glad to hear this. Truly elite athletes (and he is one) are just made of different stuff. It may take a long time but I don't see this guy doing anything but grinding away at his rehab until he gets as much improvement as possible.

Hopefully he can get well enough to coach the sport he loves.

It would be great if he can get to the point where he can do that this year. I believe he’s going to be on scholarship this year, so if well enough, why not coach? I’m sure everyone would
listen to him for sure.

great news!

I bet he will either get a job under Kelly or go speak to college and high school players.

Great news. Hopefully he’s kept his wits and with his god given athleticism, can recover and live a fairly normal life.

I think the “has a long way to go” means that doing anything this year is unlikely.

Hopefully Brooks can recover to the point to have him receive a salute at the stadium this season. He deserves to have some recognition from the fans, etc that he didn’t get to have.
