We almost beat them without 1.5 of our 6 main players in the SEC Championship game. If Poa played in that game the freshman guard would not have gone off for so many points and LSU would have won that game.

That's great and all, and maybe the whole "it's hard to beat a team three times" trope plays out, but I need to see a win to believe that they can do it.

Well yea, it’s not a paid channel. More eyes would be on the game on ABC than ESPN.

I'm just hoping that the refs aren't influenced by the media darling Caitlin Clark bonanza.

Along with the BS media hit from Washington compost and LA times labeling LSU a bunch of thugs, I'm worried that there might be some odd calls go against LSU during the game tonight.

It's a damn shame they let this rematch happen in the elite 8 not the final 4. Literally only 3-4 teams that can win the whole thing. Not that hard to separate them.
I’ve said it over and over what a gigantic final four it’d be with Iowa, UCONN, LSU and South Carolina. That would’ve been fun

Instead LSU will have to beat Iowa, UCONN, South Carolina B2B2B to win the title. We’re a team of destiny if we win it all with those matchups

Not as hard as it used to be. The top 4-6 teams have athleticism and talent that is a step above the greatest players 10+ years ago.

I get this take butttttt I mean even tho its womens its still March Madness.
We trailed in the 2nd half vs a few of our teams, Iowa has struggled against inferior teams, even South Car had some moments late in games that were close.

Im just saying that it is still Mar Madness.
Anything could have happened to mess up this "master plan" that you sound like you think the bracketmasters had made

Nah, Seimone Augustus (and other examples) would still be a superstar on any of those 4-6 teams.

Dude as forced as the narrative seemed that “LSU is the villain”, and as annoying as it may have been at times, it’s definitely worked.

Being in the Elite 8 and being on a Monday at 6 pm central on ESPN probably means a smaller number than last year's champ game.

Needed to be on ABC. Easily 10 million plus.

America cannot wait for this rematch that many expect will break television audience records and break the internet.

Relative to WBB it's a highly anticipated matchup. But I'd be surprised if it comes anywhere close to breaking viewership records if for no other reason but the timing. A Monday night tip at 6:15 pm CT is not particularly optimal. You can mostly eliminate the West Coast with the game starting at 4:15 local time. Only slightly less in the Mountain time zone with a 5:15 pm start. Even in Iowa and Louisiana it's going to be difficult for a lot of casual fans (who drive the numbers high) to get in front of a TV for a 6:15 start. It's optimal for the east coast...which has the largest population, but if you are making it tough for 3/4ths of the nation to tune in it's hard to break records.

I think the biggest difference is not that Seimone wouldnt be a stud but now there is more parity. What Seimone was doing back then was unheard of. Now many girls have similar game. It was probably because of Seimone. Watching here when they were growing up.

Yes but it is a Monday night plus 7 pm prime time on the East coast so should have very good numbers.

Considering the seed, there was probably a lack of confidence that LSU could make it to the F4. Putting them in a bracket to meet Iowa earlier guarantees the game.
