I'll say it once more...

Civilized societies don't send their women to die in combat. That's a man's job. (Yes, to die if necessary.)

Having skin in the game as a condition for having a say (vote) in matters applies to paying taxes and fighting wars. And yet neither are...which is why we're in the situation we're in.

I’d rather fight with a woman beside me than one of those trannie freaks.

The more worrisome issue is that the people implementing it know the reality. Yes, lot of people don't, and I just had a discussion with one here, but the military knows, and I suspect the civilian "leadership" making the decisions knows. "Fundamental transformation" is more important than effectiveness and efficiency. They don't care if it costs lives or money.

The only way I'd support excluding women from combat is if we also exclude them from representing me or voting. If they have a say in me fighting in a war, they can too.

Nope, that ship has sailed.

Modern Western women have decided they are equal to men in every way.

Further, their idiotic voting patterns are electing people that are more likely to weaken the country and increase the likelihood of War.

They do not deserve the same protections that previous generations of women have been afforded.

If they want equality, that means equality of responsibility as well.

Maybe seeing a few thousand of their sisters arriving home in body-bags will wake them to the realities of the world.

They tried to do this in the early 90s, but the Senate and the services stopped it.

I think it’s part of a broader effort to corrupt and break our culture. And it’s occurring for that reason alone. If you look at their agenda, they want to smash healthy gender roles, crater the birth rate, and create conflict between the genders, while making a mockery of our faith and traditions. While simultaneously importing tens of millions of foreign people.

It’s all one thing, and it’s all connected.

Senate hearings on women in combat, CSPAN 1991.

Everything you said is true.

Nothing you said refutes what I said.

It does, however, point to how far we've gone astray.

The top echelons of the military are drawn primarily from combat arms. So to get more 4 star ladies they need them in those parts of the military

Absolutely.

And while I agree that it might be more worrisome (or maybe not, more later), it's still less surprising. At least to me.

Those who have philosophically bought into the left's agenda have pretty much always disregarded the consequences of advancing it even when those consequences were abundantly clear from the outset.

The current administration's energy policies are a great example. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that all of these "initiatives" designed to punish, reduce, or eliminate fossil fuel use are going to continue to drive up inflation and simply shift the burden of energy production in such a way as to collapse the system. We had someone recently post an article that estimated that within a surprisingly short number of years, electricity demand will double due to the aforementioned initiatives and the power grid in most places won't be able to keep up.

I refuse to believe that whoever is actually pulling Biden's Alzheimer's addled strings can't figure out tat the more electric cars, stoves, etc., etc people use, the more electricity they will need. They just don't care. It will be someone else's problem by then.

They did this with health care "reform," with changing policies in the military, etc, etc, etc.

They always do it.

The reason I say it may be more worrisome, but it may not be, is that—at least—if the general population can still say, "The Emperor is Wearing No Clothes" when necessary, the suicidal actions of the committed left can be checked.

But if the general public goes blind and can't tell whether that Emperor is wearing anything or not, then we're in huge trouble. And I think that's what's happened. And it's about to get worse with AI.

No, they don't use women in combat roles.

The Caracal Battalion exists, but it's a ceremonial unit, and they keep it far from any real danger.

So, explain the IDF women that were killed, kidnapped and raped on Oct 7.

They've never been out of danger. They're guards at stabby gate, the Muslim quarter, etc.

In the Army the reason stated is equal promotion opportunities. The king maker jobs are almost all combat arms so women being unable to serve in infantry, armor, artillery limited their promotion potential.
