Braswell is a literal joke.

Yep. His offense means nothing when he is constantly allowing runners to get on or score.

There is no way Guidry is better. Jay wouldn't keep the secret weapon shortstop as pitcher only if he was a better option.

This ball club is playing downright terrible baseball right now: at the plate, on the mound, and defensively. The state of this team is incredibly dire given LSU's standard of excellence.

This team needs a reset. Something MUST change, and the responsibility to make that happen starts at the very top with Coach Jay Johnson.

So my take on Guidry still being overlooked? Someone tell me he’s not a better athlete than Braswell

The word is he can't hit. I am not sure if that is accurate but it would explain a thing or two.

Yall are acting like a #1 and #7 is a huge difference. 299 different d1 baseball teams and your saying that a 6 spot difference is why we are absolute garbage lol

I’m going to temper expectations until we see him actually pitch in a game.

I need something to get excited about.

When was the last time Guidry played SS?

Regardless not sure why everyone thinks he would take to hitting SEC pitching so easily

So we have no better options at short what so ever because Guidry was a stud in high school at SS

Guidry is absolutely not an option at SS at this point. It would most likely be Milam to SS and Pearson to 2nd.

Everytime I start getting upset about the state of this LSU Fighting Tiger baseball club, I simply remind myself they are the current defending National Champions. That always makes me feel a little better about the situation.

Same. Last year was fun as

Without question. I'd have been willing to go 0-56 this year in exchange for last year. Just like '20 and '21 were worth '19 in football. And the climb is always easier than to stay on top ("hard to get up and run at 5 a.m. when you're sleeping in silk pajamas"). I think this year will make us better long-term as hard as it is to go through right now. Like I mentioned earlier, Jay is a relatively young coach. And all coaches are new to this new era with NIL and the transfer portal. He'll learn from this year, and we'll wind up being better for it in the long run.

This has been the solution all along. Larson and Frey can rotate in RF
