As someone who was a gymnast, what these athletes are doing is absolutely incredible. I am in utter awe of how the sport has progressed. For those that have never performed on a beam, if you think it is nail-biting to watch, it is a million X's more scary to be up there. (Ok, let's face it, beam and I had a difficult relationship )
Amazing what these women accomplished,
The Olympics are going to be wild.
Any parents out there - gymnastics is an awesome sport and teaches tenacity, strength, will-power and resolve. Not only are these women National Champs, but they are intelligent, driven and successful.

Did our Leo’s have LSU on them?
Posted on 4/21/24 at 8:35 am to SLIPSHITE
Did it come out what was wrong with the Leos? I know I saw KJ running back to the locker room after floor with someone else unhooking the backs as they ran, seemingly to swap Leos. And then I thought I saw Savannah have to do the same thing later.

The leotards just fit oddly. Kiya was basically wearing a thong by the end of her floor routine.

We got screwed by going 1st on floor didn’t we?
Didn't someone post last week that the last few NC winning teams finished on beam?
Posted on 4/21/24 at 9:28 am to udtiger
yeah.
winning the natty finishing on beam and sticking that last routine is the warriors way. starting on floor and ending on beam is the toughest rotation, but if you win it that way it removes all doubt.

Will a replay of this event be available to watch somewhere?

How many total team national championships does LSU have now? 52?
Posted on 4/21/24 at 2:38 pm to Granola
Georgia fired their coach of 7 years yesterday. Courtney Carter was a 4 time national champion at Georgia.
I'm glad Jay Clark already had a run with his alma mater and won't be returning to Georgia.

Not being a gymnast but I always thought the Rings and the Beam were torture devices invented by the Medici lol.

Rings and the Beam
Beam is women only. And is the hardest event. It’s really hard because it is so unforgiving and you still have a dismount/landing that you have to worry about.
Rings are tough, but that’s men only (along with pommel horse, horizontal bar, and the parallel bars). Pommel is probably toughest for men, but Rings wouldn’t be far behind.
