Question: since when do we refer to laws by the era they were first enacted?

When the scotus used the 14th amendment to legalize gay marriage nationwide, why didn’t we see headlines such as “scotus rules civil war era amendment gives gays the right to marry”

Or roe v Wade: “scotus rules 18th century document gives women the right to abort”

Arizona didn’t become a state until 1912, nearly 50 years after the civil war.

This is a stupid take that the MSM and the groomers have convinced the mouth breathers on the right is true.

Abortion did not hurt us and will not hurt us. The only thing that hurt us in the mid terms is poor candidates.... and wholesale cheating.
