Unfortunately it's all too common and trying to play white knight will only delay the inevitable. Just stay away from the women that are attracted to pieces of trash.

I liked listening to Dr. Laura on radio when a female called:
Female: 'I just went through my 3rd divorce. My first husband did (bad thing), my second did (a different bad thing) and my recent husband did (another bad thing). Dr. Laura, what's wrong with men these days? What should I do?'
Dr. Laura: "Don't get married. You're really bad at picking men."
