I think Trump wants to make sure the spotlight never leaves him. Burgum was good on the debate stage and has done pretty well as governor. It would be more advantageous to have him in the Cabinet rather than VP.

He was the best candidate in the primary for actual conservative policy principles. That includes Donald Trump.

Trump is obviously far and away a better POTUS candidate because of his skills in getting things done, but Burgum would be a great addition to a Trump administration, whether it be VP, Cabinet, or in a WH advisory role.

I looked up Doug Burgum in the primaries and liked his business background and policies as governor. I think he would be a competent candidate, especially compared to Kamala
