Just curious, if you lived in the Woodland area what changes with a separate school system? Is it you just don’t want your student population diluted from attending magnet schools? Is there some belief that the current school system appoints incompetent principals? I’m just interested in why this is seen as a magic pill to fix the area.

And I don’t doubt scores will go up because you will pull students out of magnet schools back to their home school, but I would imagine those parents prefer their kids going to magnet schools. So who does this help?
