That’s an article that didn’t need to get written. None of these teams have some grand master plan. They all simply reached for 4th rd talents in the top 12. This is simply a fluff piece for their respective fan bases to edge to for the next 3-4 years.

As a saints guy.. I cheer the Pick and all the wasted cap space this is going to eat up over the next 5 years.

Exactly.

The only question that needs to be asked, and will never be answered truthfully (at least for the next few years) is if Williams, Daniels, and/or Maye were available when these teams picked would Penix, McCarthy, and Nix still have been "their guy"? You know the real answer.
