Louisiana has a ton of WR talent in the class and LSU likely won’t take some of them unless we miss on a few 5 stars we are after. I don’t know how many we will take but the possibility of take 2 of the top 3 WR is exciting if they are from Texas. Going to be a fight to land 1 let alone both.

In the grand scheme of things lsu has had a lot more success with in state WRs compared to out of state.

Louisiana never seems to have a problem at WR and if we miss on an out of state player, I'm sure there'll be something good hanging from the tree right here.

there's a lot of 'obviously's' here.

Obviously i want DK Moore type talent to come from BR.
Obviously I want to keep DK Moore and other 5 star guys.

But what I don't want is for the 'fight till the end' to last to where we find a J Jefferson only to commit to MSU and then DK Moore flip on signing day.

Take a look at K. Coleman, he probably wanted LSU but we took 5 or six that year.

Honestly, Zay Martin has shown some promise. Haven’t heard much about him, but he’s balling out for Fleaux

While I agree that Louisiana typically has produced a lot of very good receivers, there's no guarantee that every recruiting cycle will include them. We have no idea how the receivers from the 2023 and 2024 classes will even pan out yet.

There were days when Louisiana produced great quarterbacks...until it didn't. I never would have imagined there would be such a scarcity of defensive tackles from in state, but there has been lately. There have even been cycles where the state didn't have a lot to offer by way of defensive backs.

I just don't think LSU can always rely on the "Louisiana always produces great......" mantra. A year or two when it doesn't produce great players at a certain position can derail a championship run.

While I think the state generally will have great receivers, it may not be true every year. You just have to trust the coaches to try and sign the guys they think can play championship football. I would love to see them from Louisiana, but I don't want to turn away great receivers just because they're from Texas.

#StopChasingOutOfStateWRs

It’s a waste of time. Those that do show up on campus transfer out.
