Has anyone asked to see the text of the bill that criminalizes speech?

Umm, why would that be necessary? I trust the judgment of these people to give a fair and unbiased summary of the bill. Sure maybe they harbor some deep resentments and biases that could come into play, possibly quite seriously, but I truly trust that they set that kinda thing aside.

The answer to your question is in all likelihood a resounding “no.”

It doesnt matter. We already have laws that protect against threats of violence. Its already a crime. Why do we need more laws? The constitution matters.

I found this in a story about the bill, but where does the bill criminalize speech?
quote:

The bill would require the Education Department to codify the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism as it enforces anti-discrimination laws — adding heft to a Trump-era executive order for stricter enforcement. Republicans have brushed aside Democratic calls for consideration of a broader bipartisan bill that would establish a national coordinator to counter antisemitism.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell indicated antisemitism “needs to be dealt with, with consequences” and said Republicans would pursue ways of penalizing colleges for not adequately addressing the problem.

“We’re taking a look at how to condition that money on how they handle their campuses in situations like this,” McConnell said at a press conference Wednesday. “We’re serious about this. We’re going to take a look at what legislatively we might do.”

If I say “ I hate Jews “ and beat the crap out of one isn’t that a hate crime?

Republicans are so damn stupid.

Left on left violence in an election year and they are trying to help them out by stopping it.

“My Fellow Democrats, genocide is on the ballot. It's happening right now and the only people who are willing to stand up to it are being brutalized on college campuses by cops in riot gear.

Me and my husband will be voting Jill Stein”
