Kinda seems like this was planned to bring in the robots

Yes, but more likely to create a bigger dependent underclass who can’t get a job saying “You want fries with that?” anymore.

I wonder if politicians are really too stupid to realize it or if they know but just don’t care

They know but figure that killing jobs means you can keep voters on the plantation through bread and circuses.

Those who are losing their jobs in this new higher-wage environment are those most easily replaced, with the lowest productivity
With the dawn of AI, and cheap technology... this is stupidest time in all of man's history to enact a floor on the price of labor. Maybe CA is doing this for Silicon Valley?

we’re seeing machinery take the place of humans and it’s all because of the rising cost of labor.

not exactly. you're missing the chicken and the egg point. costs are being manipulated up to create demand for robots/ kiosks. robotics is very profitable, not labor costs

Bro I believe you. Gonna need more than issuesinsights.com in on it though.

They're gonna FIRE THEM? I think it would be more than likely a lay-off.

Pizzas are wood fired or stone fired at most places.

The drivers are just plain fired.

We already have this for people who are disabled. Everyone else can go to work or get focked. Worst idea ever.

Non-democrats, non-socialists, non-idiots. Anyone with a brain or an ounce of common sense?

Working as intended. The idea is to force the poor into total dependency

yeah. at some point, after saying to yourself "They cannot have absolutely zero economic sense!?!? How do they know this won't work as intended?" that lightbulb goes off and says "Yes, you're right."

They're just really good at hiding their intentions from stupid people who think their value will increase because the govt said it should.

Just like regulations. "You have to build a car that gets 9 thousand miles out of a cell phone battery brick." You know, cuz it's hot in the summer! Well you can regulate that all you want but it's going to put us out of business. No it won't! Just try harder. (but yes, we know it will).
