1600 feet of high-speed rail after over a decade and $11 billion yet there is no rail. It's just an overpass.

As pointed out in the comments it takes about 5 minutes to casually walk 1600 feet

In the same timeframe, FL has made Brightline the nation’s premier HSR system, and is considering branching into other states

Yes, and there is no rail yet. They built a 1600-foot overpass. That's it

Is the $11 billion the cost of the project or just what’s been spent on that singular bridge?

Pretty impressive that California managed to make something more expensive and worthless than the 1.7 million dollar toilet in San Francisco:

It’s like bragging having a 1/8 inch penis really. Like it doesn’t function and you have to squat to pee.

If I understand correctly it's what they have spent so far on the whole project

They initially said the whole thing would only cost $24 billion then later said $32 billion but have already spent $11 billion so far

This is the shite that should cause protests at UCLA. Your own Gov't is money laundering and throwing your money in the garbage right in front of your face.

But they'd rather attach themselves to people that live on the other side of the world and hate their guts.

California has spent $25 BILLION on homelessness, cannot account for it, and the homeless population has grown significantly since that effort began

Ok, but you can now get over that 1600’ section much faster than if you had to walk at ground level. Money well spent if you ask me.

Low speed construction with monies probably siphoned off. May it's like the BR loop and undergoing another study.

They are building a section between Vegas and Los Angeles.

It will reduce ground transportation times from 4 hours to 2 hours.

Not sure if I am sold on it. It may be worth it just to fly still.

Spirit has 38 dollar fares and you are there in one hour and 20 minutes or less depending on the flight. TSA is another animal, so you still need to factor that in.

$25 billion is the total amount spent. The missing amount is around $9 billion, which is still about 125 Favregates.
