Then what happens to the grades? It'd be funny if they gave everyone an A and fired the professor

Students are getting such a shite deal.

I don’t see how the professor’s politics prevents him from doing his job.

All that guy is going to do is force some good students who were not suspended to miss their graduation because their transcripts are not completed in a timely manner. Its one thing to accidently miss a deadline, but to purposefully withhold on good students, nah, that should not be tolerated.

Is our entire university system actually “investing” in Israel’s defense budget? I don’t understand what the tent people are even demanding

Lawsuit incoming.

I’d sue him personally.

Tenure and the professor can do whatever they want? There’s no way to fire them?

It's much harder to fire them, but not impossible.

Something you have in common with them; these people are fools at best.

They have no idea what it means, but to be anti-Israel is to be righteous.

Not fulfilling their job responsibilities, and admitting to that publicly, is absolutely an out to fire them.

What’s this person’s name? I would love to see what they look like although I can probably venture an educated guess

I imagine tenure isn’t a protection here. You still have to do your job. He can easily be told he needs to issue grades to enrolled students or be fired, tenure or not.

Yeah, tenure protects academic freedom. This prof should be fired for cause, today.

You’d be surprised. I knew of a professor at Auburn who just up and moved away. It took years to fully remove her from their payroll.

If I'm dean, every single professor who did this would be terminated whether they are tenured or not (I believe refusal to do your job falls within the realm of accepted reasons to fire someone who is tenured).

She should be forced to pay that back

“In response, UNC Provost Chris Clemens and Graduate School Dean Beth Mayer-Davis sent a formal written statement to all university deans and department chairs and said the provost’s office “will support sanctions” against any instructor or professor who “is found to have improperly withheld grades.”

They also said the threat to hold student grades hostage violates “our contract with the people of North Carolina” and noted that submitting grades is “part of the required duties of all faculty and graduate TAs[.]”

Seven hundred signed a statement, their names haven't been released. Another group signed a different statement.

Graduation is supposed to be next week.

About twice as many non-students were arrested as students. I think those numbers are important as to the source of the problem.

While I do feel bad for the students in his class that are just trying to do their work and move on, I feel 100X worse for the women brutalized by terrorists that tied them up, cut off their tits, raped them, drove nails into their vaginas, and then executed them. That’s who this fricking piece of shite is supporting and standing with. I honestly cannot believe this is where we are as a country.

Why do these frickers think they somehow inherent some political power with their role in getting paid to teach students who pay to learn?

I would sue the school if I was one of those students. Services not delivered.
