Just curious because for years I been telling you guys honest truths about this organization and owner and I think it's finally starting to hit you guys.
Why do you guys still believe this franchise will ever care about winning?

Because when they do finally win you can finally shut the frick up and find something else to bitch about.

when we get another nba team I’ll think about not caring about the pelicans

I love New Orleans, so I will root for any team that plays in New Orleans.
Also the SKC is a special place when the Pels are winning.

Why are you such a miserable person?

Nothing really tbh. I wasn’t very invested this season. Enjoyed the flashes of brilliance and maturity from Zion, but that’s about it. Griff squandered multiple huge opportunities to make this team a contender. Meanwhile multiple other small market teams have lapped us and others, like the Rockets, will lap us soon.

Do you not call this investment, Mac?

Zion getting hurt doesn't mean you're right mac. You're acting like we underperformed in a year that we won 49 games. There's far too much good happening for the team and you limp to the board with this bullshite, but here you are, shitting out weak frick takes.

I'm a casual fan. I like seeing the Pels win but don't live and die by it.

Mac easily spends more of his time thinking about and talking about the Pelicans than 99% of posters, he just has no self awareness to realize it.

I was ecstatic when the franchise landed here, and I still enjoy the game and the possibilities. The acquisition by Benson was an undeniably
positive event at the time, and Gayle was fully onboard(in fact, she encouraged the purchase). I think she would love to produce a contender. That’s the vibe I get from people close to the situation. I will say that loyalty has always been important in the organization , and it applies to the Saints and Pelicans. Loyalty is reciprocated.

I like pro basketball and I think is pathetic to cheer against your home town team.
but i’m real tired.
when I was a kid in the 90s I was free to be a Jordan Bulls front runner. Life was good. Sure i was a bit listless for a couple years but then we got this franchise and we’ve had as many superstars demand a trade as we have playoff series wins.

Being a Pels fan feels eerily similar to being a Saints fan in the early days. Seems ownership isn’t invested properly, what talent we do have is suffering from sub-par coaching and correct talent acquisition/roster management, and fans have become apathetic.
Then there was some hope and finally success (1987-1992). Then another long drought.
But when the Saints finally won the Super Bowl it was the highest of highs. Nothing compared. And maybe that has kept me hanging on knowing 1) it’s possible and 2) if/when it does happen it’ll be an amazing feeling to experience it.
(However, the Pels could win 20 titles and none would match the Saints Super Bowl win for me. For many reasons.)
