Tucker.

All he seems to do is interview wackjobs or talk about crazy conspiracy crap.

Highly disappointing

Clay is a 2x Obama voter. How he has been able to convince people he's a hardcore conservative now is beyond me. I don't think he believes anything he says.

Buck is a former CIA guy. I don't know much else about him, but that's not a great place to start.

Jesse Kelly should have gotten that gig.

He shows his true colors often.

He repeatedly pimped RFK, and Tulsi.

Couple of posts in the thread have mentioned Steyn was in/has been in poor health so I googled….2 heart attacks.

Also, had no idea he was 64 years old! Not saying 64 is old, it’s not, but I definitely underestimated his age.

Figured he was mid-late 50s.

I really miss Rush.

It would always cheer me up when I would hear his intro music come on.

Rush knew how to entertain.

He was, at heart, an entertainer first. That was the secret.

The only one to come remotely close to that, on radio, for me was Beck and that was a long time ago.

(ETA: Gutfeld on TV is about the closest we will get to Rush in the long run. If he would balance out the over-top-humor with more subtle humor and then just being right on the issues a little better, he might be a great Rush successor. Haven't watched much of his long-form, though.)

SEC fans will remember him from his UT days. ugh

Dude is a Vandy graduate school, GWU undergrad, and not even a UT guy. Anyone that gives that tool any credence is an idiot.

I would have agreed with Michael Berry years ago but not now for several of the reasons you gave. He used to be hard hitting now it is just fluff when I have to listen. The only reason I listen to him is when traveling back into Houston and need traffic reports.

I've been listening to Berry for a long time. When Rush was declining and the writing was on the wall, Michael did more of a national show. Once Clay and Buck got the gig it seems he has reverted to more of a local slant. Can't blame him.

I find the show is much better when Buck is by himself - they try to cover too much too fast without much insight when it's both of them, and I don't care what some goober congressman has to say.

It might end up being Jesse down the line.

They would have been my choice. Fast moving. Lots of clips but also cover more than just political news. Only take calls for their Friday Five which is a nice changeup at the end of the week.

Just checked, and he is older than I thought, but imagine someone with big balls and zero fricks to give like James Woods in that role.
I would prefer a revolving door of guest hosts over the current undeserving clowns in front of that microphone.

We talk about the schedule Rush kept and how demanding it was. When he moved to New York to make the show national, he would travel almost every weekend to do his Rush to Excellence tour.

I miss him so much. And those timber updates…

conservative talk radio

Is there even such a thing any more, since the unfortunate departure of Rush? I seriously have no clue. I only ever listened to Rush and occasionally Hannity and Colmes way back in the day, but that show was just Hannity being Hannity and having uncontrollable ebullitions of histrionics and sky screaming while Colmes would just slip into the role of emulating Droopy.

I know of some podcasters and YouTubers, but I don't know if that counts.

If you're going to complain about Clay talking about his kids you'll gonna hate listenining about Michael T and Crockett. But Michael does a better job in most respects and Ramon is good. But when Michael makes a mistake he usually doesn't acknowledge it. Like supporting Dan Crenshaw (and essentially geting him elected) and not supporting Trump the first time

Clay is kind of a douche, but he knows how to get under the left’s skin so I’m fine with the platform that’s been given to him
