hy don’t they have a highway that takes you to the beaches? Had to drive country roads for 3 hours to get here.

What were you doing, following a fricking carrier pigeon?

You've gotta be smarter than the roads you're driving on.

Evidently you didn’t utilize a map or map app, then.

As someone who has in-laws in Kentucky and has to drive through Alabama to go see the stepson in Atlanta, I can can firmly say there is not much difference between Tennessee and Alabama. A little taller mountain area perhaps but they both have the same vibe to me. I'd live in both.

Have driven to Atlanta each of the past 2 years for Braves games. Birmingham and northern part of state is beautiful. Gulf coast also beautiful

Central Alabama, there is not much to it. But the same can be said for Central MS and Central LA

Oh wow, you drove through it?

Well, last year I drove from Memphis to Columbus, OH and had to go through Kentucky.

I never really got of the major roads or interstate, and it looked like a complete shite hole to me.

And let's talk about Louisville. Holy shite, how bad is that place. There were no less than 20 cars dead on the side of the road,

So, based on just that experience, I'm going to conclude that all of Kentucky is complete shite.

So you want a state that has beaches with an interstate running pretty much directly to them to build an additional interstate expressway to take people to beaches in another state? I am sure that's at the top of governor's agenda. Not saying Alabama is the gem of the southern states but this is a bit of a stretch.

Felt like all I saw was churches and cemeteries with cement slabs over every gravesite.

get off the interstates and highways man. Alabama is a beautiful state. I've vacationed on the coast almost every summer since i've had kids....no complaints. I've recently had the opportunity to hunt whitetail in the eastern black belt region, which was gorgeous. Driving through is nice as well, but I'm coming from LA, so any road outside of this state is a blessing for my suspension system.

I85 splits the two best Alabama beaches... Orange Beach and Dauphin Island. Why would they build roads to out of state destinations?
